I would really like to hit 20,000 by the end of the weekend. I also have a travel feature to finish. Doing either would be productive but instead I’m being getting very creative in my procrastination techniques and doing neither.

I didn’t write yesterday but I caught up today with a “write-in”. I met with other NaNoWriMo contestants at a cafe in central London from one to five o’clock. All this getting up at 6.30am to write is taking its toll. I’m feeling tired and I’m not getting in as much exercise because of the writing and the cold, dark nights. But I’m still ploughing through. To be on track, I need to be up to 6,666 by the end of today. Right now I am at 9,229, which makes me very happy! I may write a little more tonight but right now I have some journalistic work to finish and a beautiful sunny, autumn Sunday to enjoy.
