How to get there

Washington DC is linked by railway to other US towns and cities, including Boston, New York, Baltimore and Atlanta. The main inter-city train station is Union Station and tickets can be booked online with Amtrak.

Dulles International Airport is served by most major international and domestic airlines, including British Airways, Air France, Virgin Atlantic, KLM, Lufthansa, Continental Airlines, United Airlines and American Airlines.

Metro is the public transport system (including the subway and a bus network) in the DC area and also serving the commuter belt in Virginia and Maryland.

More information on bus and rail services between Washington DC and other cities, or between the city and the airport, can be found here.
