St Ives, Cornwall, UK; June 2008
Usually you go to an art gallery to see the landscapes and seascapes inside the building.
In that respect, the Tate St Ives gallery does not disappoint. It has a large collection of modern and contemporary art and the price of admission also includes entry to the nearby Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden.
But the vista outside the gallery walls gives any human-created artwork a run for its money. This picture was taken through the window (hence the slightly distorted, glassy effect) upstairs.
I definitely need to write more on Cornwall soon – it’s one of my favourite places in Britain. I did write this piece on eco-tourism in Cornwall for EcoSalon last year.
This post is part of Delicious Baby‘s weekly blogging event Photo Friday. Please visit her site to see all the other entries this week or see my previous entries. For various reasons, I’m posting a day late.
