The success of the Tourism Queensland ‘Best Job in the World’ campaign seems to have spawned a whole new way of promoting destination tourism. I particularly like the look of this ‘Gap Year’ competition from the New Zealand Tourist Board.
Can you believe that I grew up in Australia and I’ve never been to New Zealand? We nearly went for our honeymoon but we went to the Great Barrier Reef instead. I love wilderness, adventure sports and good food, so I am positive I would love New Zealand. I will get there some day!
If you are from the UK or Ireland and over the age of 18, check out this video to find out how you could win an all-expenses trip to New Zealand.

I love all of these contests: It gives people who don’t do what we do for a living the chance to get to see more of the world! Also, my trip to NZ earlier this year was one of the best I’ve ever been on!

Would like to get to New Zealand but funnily enough bungee jumping has never been on my must-do list. That competition is a great chance to travel but my hear sinks when they use the phrase – how extreme can you be? Anyone who has seen Big Brother knows they’ll be after ultra-exhibitionists who will do anything for the camera effect. That’s the TV formula these days – but I may be tempted to view for the scenery rather than the antics. Do I sound old?

No you don’t – unless I do too. I’m with you on the reality TV programming and probably the bungee jumping, though I’d be keen to hike, ski, kayak, raft and dive in New Zealand. I like adventure sports, though I’m not really sure that bungee qualifies. I’m also keen on the scenery, food and wine. – Caitlin.
