My mother lives on the north coast of New South Wales so we don’t see her quite as much as we would like. At least we see more of her than we would if we were living in London or San Francisco!
Mum came and stayed with us last week. The twins weren’t too sure about this at first but it only took about twenty minutes before they were totally besotted with their Nana.
They got to have plenty of Nana cuddles, which as everyone knows, are a very special kind of cuddle. They also got to eat organic peaches from her orchard. Lucky twins!
Meanwhile, my husband and I got to have a bit of extra sleep in the mornings. Lucky us!
My dad, my husband’s mum and dad, my grandma, and several great aunts all live in Sydney, so the twins are not short of people who adore and dote on them. It’s still lovely seeing them get to know my mum and watching her get to know them. She’s asked me to promise that they can go visit her in school holidays when they’re older.
