Hampstead Heath, London; Summer 2005

An art installation in Hampstead Heath in London in the summer of 2005. I love this – it really plays to the idea of living in a magical world. I feel like we are all miniature people, like Borrowers or Lilliputtians, and a giant is going to come along any minute .
I actually saw someone climb on top of it. I have no idea how they managed that – I looked away for a minute and when I looked back they were suddenly on top of it.
I enjoy public art that invites you to play or to re-imagine the world. I also loved the ‘Sing for Hope’ street pianos in New York City in 2010.

Wow that is huge! I like the first photo from a distance that shows the table in relation to the area around it.

Lovely idea, kids probably love it!

That’s fantastic! I have to admit that I’d be tempted to try and climb to the top too, but I have no idea how I’d accomplish it. Maybe I’d just climb to the chair and pretend to be a giant.

Very cool! It would definitely be a scramble to get to the top of that!!

Oh my goodness! I just love that!
Unfortunately it was a temporary exhibit but it was cool while it lasted. Who wants me to publish photos with the person climbing on top?
So fun. I love public art like that!

What an awesome exhibit! It looks like a daunting task to assemble and break apart. Great shots! It would be cool to see the picture of the person climbing =)
